Diploma of Engineering
The Diploma of Engineering at SIBT is the starting point for Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering programs. You will develop skills in logical thinking, problem analysis, and creative problem-solving to tackle real-world challenges. Graduates of the diploma will be able to secure entry-level positions as engineering technicians using the practical and communication skills gained during their studies at SIBT.
Additionally, graduates can progress to the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering.
The Diploma of Engineering program at SIBT can be completed over two or three sessions. Students who start in Session 1, 2021 will study a total of 8 core units from the list below. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be equipped with the skills to think logically, analyze problems, and find creative solutions to real-world challenges. They will also be qualified for entry-level engineering technician positions and have the ability to articulate into the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering program.
Entry Requirements
Entry requirements for SIBT programs include successful completion of Year 12 and an IELTS score of at least 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in all bands. No previous knowledge or experience in the chosen field is required.
