- This qualification provides competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain systems and equipments in buildings and premises.
- An apprenticeship requires full-time work and study for 4 years. Currently only students with Permanent residency can do a 4-year electrical apprenticeship.
- Each state has their own system for electrical licensing, you can find more on the ERAC website to get relevant information for your state.
Please note this qualification will not fulfill the requirements for an Electrical licence without an apprenticeship as of January 2021 Australia wide
Entry Requirements
To enrol into this course you will need to have completed Australian Year 11 or equivalent and have an overall IELTS score of 5.5. You must be over 18 years old. Due to the physical requirements of this qualification the student must have the ability to perform CPR on a manikin.
There will also be an entrance test to assess your mathematical and analytical skills.
