ADVANCED DIPLOMA OF CIVIL CONSTRUCTION DESIGN

The Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design is a course designed for students who want to become senior civil works designers or para-professional designers. This qualification is suitable for individuals who are interested in performing complex, technical and specialized tasks, supporting professional engineers in the design of complex projects, and demonstrating their knowledge of theoretical and technical concepts to develop solutions to technical problems.

By completing this course, students will gain the skills and knowledge needed to successfully design civil construction projects and ensure they meet their clients' requirements.

To be eligible for the Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design course, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be 18 years old or above
• Have completed Australian Year 12 or an equivalent qualification
• Achieve an overall score of at least 5.5 on the IELTS Academic test or an equivalent score on another recognized English language proficiency test (except for Australian permanent residents/citizens who are exempt from this requirement).

A Civil Engineering Draftsperson

A Civil Engineering Draftsperson is a professional who is responsible for preparing engineering designs, drawings and specifications for civil engineering projects, such as buildings, roads, bridges, tunnels, dams, airports and other infrastructure. They use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed plans and technical drawings that guide the construction of civil engineering projects. Civil Engineering Draftspersons work closely with civil engineers, architects, construction managers and other professionals to ensure that their designs are accurate, feasible and meet all relevant standards and regulations.

This course consists of 5 core units and 7 elective units.
