DIPLOMA OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
The Diploma of Information Technology is a program designed for students who want to gain specialized skills in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT). This course prepares students to work in a variety of roles within the ICT industry, where they will be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Throughout the course, students will develop skills in technical ICT functions such as software development, networking, and cybersecurity. They will also learn how to apply their skills across various industries, business functions, and departments, or as a business owner.
To complete the program, students must complete six core units and fourteen elective units. These units cover a range of topics including programming, database management, network security, and project management.

Entry Requirements
The following are the entry requirements for QIBA:
International students must:
- Have completed the equivalent of Year 12 and be at least 18 years of age.
- Achieve a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or an equivalent score in an approved English language test (test results should not be older than 2 years).
- Participate in a course entry interview and demonstrate their suitability for the course.
- Take an LLN test to evaluate their language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
In addition, students can demonstrate their English language proficiency through any of the following documented evidence:
- Completion of 5 years of education in an English-speaking country.
- Successful completion of an English Placement Test.
Note that QIBA also accepts other English language tests, such as PTE and TOEFL, provided that the results are equivalent to IELTS 5.5 and are submitted for confirmation.
