Information Technology Networking
This qualification has a strong ICT (Information Communication Technology) networking base, which includes server technology, network infrastructure, virtualization, and security. It provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to manage, as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team, the installation of a range of networks including inter-networking, security, and e-business integration.
The Diploma of Information Technology Networking at WSTC will prepare student for two industry recognized Certifications. Three terms student will focus on and prepare for Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification exams and specialize in Windows Server 2012. The forth Term student will focus on and prepare for Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) routing and Switching, certification exam.
To complete the ICT50418 Diploma of Information Technology Networking, students need to complete 16 units of competency consisting of 5 core units and 11 elective units.
Entry Requirements
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Preferably year 12 or equivalent
- Possess IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
- Access to computer with internet connection
