Nail technology

The Certificate III in Nail Technology will give you the skills and knowledge required to become a Nail technician or a Nail salon owner. This comprehensive course will give you lots of practical hands-on experience in our training salons working on real clients. The course covers extensive skills including Manicure and Pedicure services, Acrylic and Gel nail enhancements and salon services.

• Manicure and pedicure
• Acrylic nails including rebalance
• Gel nails including rebalance
• Use electric file
• Apply advanced nail art
• Salon training
• Undertake small business planning
• Apply safe work practices

Students have access to a fully equipped salon services environment (simulated) for practical demonstration and observations of all appropriate units throughout the course. Practical tasks will be set for each student that relate to the course structure.

ACCEND has the Hair and Beauty services open to public, where students are able to maintain their skills required to successfully complete this qualification. An assortment of assessment methods structures this qualification including Practical Observation, Written Assessment, Project and observations while student is attending to an actual client in the salon. 

All practical demonstrations will be observed by an ACCEND Trainer/Assessor.

In meeting their obligations to train a trainee, our ACCEND will ensure that:

• The student has access to the full range of settings/experiences required to develop competencies in all aspects of beauty services
• The student has access to the full range of tools and equipment commonly used by workers employed in hair and beauty industry
• The student will be instructed and supervised by a suitably qualified and experienced person.

International Students studying in Australia on a student visa (IS) seeking to enrol in the program must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Successful completion of a Pre-training review with Accend Education Group
• English proficiency levels of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent or completion of a Literacy, Language and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
• Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
