Make-Up

Certificate III in Make-Up is ideal for people who want to work in the beauty industry as a Make-Up Artist. This comprehensive course will give you lots of practical experience working on real clients in our training salon. The course covers extensive makeup skills including airbrush and camouflage makeup, lash and brow services and design and apply makeup for photography.

Theoretical and practical skills in areas of:

• Photographic makeup
• Design and apply makeup
• Remedial camouflage
• Creative makeup
• Airbrush makeup
• Salon training

Students have access to a fully equipped salon services environment (simulated) for practical demonstration and observations of all appropriate units throughout the course. Practical tasks will be set for each student that relate to the course structure.

ACCEND has the Hair and Beauty services open to public, where students are able to maintain their skills required to successfully complete this qualification. An assortment of assessment methods structures this qualification including Practical Observation, Written Assessment, Project and observations while student is attending to an actual client in the salon. 

All practical demonstrations will be observed by an ACCEND Trainer/Assessor.

In meeting their obligations to train a trainee, our ACCEND will ensure that:

• The student has access to the full range of settings/experiences required to develop competencies in all aspects of beauty services
• The student has access to the full range of tools and equipment commonly used by workers employed in hair and beauty industry
• The student will be instructed and supervised by a suitably qualified and experienced person.

International Students studying in Australia on a student visa (IS) seeking to enrol in the program must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Successful completion of a Pre-training review with Accend Education Group
• English proficiency levels of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent or completion of a Literacy, Language and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
• Completion of Year 12 or equivalent

• Freelance makeup artist
• Cosmetic counter advisor
• Fashion and editorial makeup artist

After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake 

• SHB40115 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy 
• SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy
