Hairdressing
Certificate III in Hairdressing is designed for those who wish to become a professional hairdresser. Students at this level will demonstrate competence in communicating in the workplace, consulting with clients, selling products and services and applying a broad range of technical hairdressing services to clients. Individuals will learn a range of well-developed skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs.

- Hair design and styling
- Classic men’s haircuts
- Provide head, neck and shoulder massage
- Provide client services
- Perform full and partial foiling, tinting and bleaching services
- Provide chemical and protein treatments
ACCEND has the hairdressing services open to public, where students are able to maintain their skills required to successfully complete this qualification. An assortment of assessment methods structures this qualification including Practical Observation, Written Assessment, Project and simulated Workplace observation. Students will have access to a full range of hairdressing resources required for this qualification.
Assessments given to participants will occur in set tuition time (observational based assessments) and outside class time (project based assessments). All practical demonstrations will be observed by a ACCEND Trainer/Assessor.
In meeting their obligations to train a trainee, ACCEND will ensure that:
- The student has access to the full range of settings/experiences required to develop competencies in all aspects of hairdressing
- The student has access to the full range of tools and equipment commonly used by workers employed in hairdressing
- The student will be instructed and supervised by a suitably qualified and experienced person
Entry Requirements
International Students studying in Australia on a student visa (IS) seeking to enrol in the program must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Successful completion of a Pre-training review with Accend Education Group
- English proficiency levels of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent or completion of a Literacy, Language and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
- Completion of Year 12 or equivalent

- SHB40216 Certificate IV in Hairdressing
- SHB50216 Diploma of Salon Management
