Certificate III in Hairdressing
The Certificate III in Hairdressing is a program that trains individuals to become professional hairdressers. In this course, students will learn various sales techniques, communication skills, and technical knowledge to offer a wide range of hairdressing services to clients. As a hairdresser, one needs to exercise good judgement when providing services to clients and be responsible for their work.
Upon completing this program, graduates can find work in any industry setting, but most commonly in hairdressing salons.
The duration of this qualification is 52 weeks and includes 40 weeks of training and assessment. These 40 weeks are spread over four terms, each of which lasts for 10 weeks. There are also 12 weeks of holidays in total, with holidays lasting between 2 to 4 weeks. The course timetable will provide more information on this.
To cater to different learning styles, class sessions are planned in a way that incorporates both practical and theoretical components. Simulated workplace practices and environments are also used to conduct skills-based assessments in accordance with unit requirements.
Classes are held Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 4.30 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break included.
The delivery mode of this course is face-to-face, which means that it will be conducted in a classroom-based setting. This setting includes a fully functioning salon with real clients, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in the field of hairdressing.

Entry Requirements
Excel College Australia has certain requirements that students must meet in order to be eligible for enrollment.
To be considered, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have completed Year 12 or an equivalent level of education. Additionally, a course entry interview will be conducted to assess the student's suitability for the course and their individual needs.
An IELTS score of 5.5 is required, and it must have been obtained within the last two years. Alternatively, applicants can demonstrate their English language competency by showing evidence of having completed at least 6 months of a Certificate III level course in an Australian RTO, being educated for 5 years in an English speaking country, or by successfully completing an English Placement Test.
