Barbering
Certificate III in Barbering is designed for those who wish to become a professional barber. Students at this level will demonstrate competence in communicating in the workplace, consulting with clients and applying a broad range of technical skills and knowledge to provide barbering services to clients. Individuals will learn a range of well-developed skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs.
The course is very hands on with lots of theory and practical sessions, designed to meet the growing demand for specialist barbering skills in the industry.
- Hair design and styling
- Traditional and classical men’s cutting techniques
- Perform clipper over comb techniques
- Provide general grooming techniques for men
- Provide head, neck and shoulder massage
- Perform beard and moustache trims
- Provide client services
- Provide colour treatments
Entry Requirements
International Students studying in Australia on a student visa (IS) seeking to enrol in the program must:

- Be at least 18 years of age
- Successful completion of a Pre-training review with Accend Education Group
- English proficiency levels of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent or completion of a Literacy, Language and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
- Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
