General English
General English at IIBT is a proven study option for students who are looking to improve their English abilities. These courses focus on four key language skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, as well as grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. General English is the _rst step in your educational journey in Australia and allows students to build a solid foundation which will prepare them for further study in Academic English. General English courses also allow students to proceed directly to IIBT Academic English III and IV, also IIBT Certi_cate IV courses.
The Academic English courses offer essential academic practises to fully prepare students for entry into an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. There are 4 levels of General English: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate.

Entry Requirements
Candidates without a formal assessment will be interviewed and undergo IIBT’s internal testing system.
• Age – 16+
• Beginner: IELTS 1 – 1.5
• Elementary: IELTS 2
• Pre-Intermediate: IELTS 3
• Intermediate: IELTS 4 – 4.5
